This past week, the SWC Celebration of Schools dinner took place, and our very own Brenda Durbin was honored as East Middle School’s “Teacher of the Year.”

This is truly a bittersweet time for our EMS family. While we celebrate Mrs. Durbin and this well-deserved recognition, we also prepare to say goodbye as she begins a new chapter in her life with her retirement at the end of this school year.

Mrs. Durbin, congratulations on being named “Teacher of the Year.” Thank you for the dedication, compassion, and countless ways you have impacted the students and staff at East Middle School throughout the years. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your influence will continue for years to come.
