2021-2022 MIddle School Boys Basketball Information

Tryout/First Day of Practice:  Monday Dec. 13th, 2021 

2021-2022 Host Schools:

• 8th Grade Boys: North Middle School

• 7th Grade Boys: East Middle School

  • Please Note:  Due to Joplin hosting the COC 7th Girls Basketball Tournament at East and South MS, the first two days of tryouts (Dec. 13th, 14th) for both 7th and 8th Grade will take place at North MS with the following format:

    • 8th grade tryout in gym from 4:00-5:45

7th Grade tryout in gym from 6:00-7:30 (7th grade will still be bussed after school to North and will complete paperwork and do other basketball related activities in the lobby at North prior to 6:00 practice.)

• Starting Wednesday Dec. 15th both teams will be at their host gyms.  8th at North and 7th at East with practice from 4:00-6:00

Transportation:

• There will be a shuttle bus that will deliver athletes to their host school for practice. Parents will need to arrange a pick up from the practice site. There will be no transportation back to their individual schools. 

Physical & Insurance:

• Please make sure that your child has an up to date physical, medical history, and insurance on file at their respective school. Students will not be allowed to participate in tryouts until this paperwork is complete. 

Parent Meetings:

• Prior to the first game of the season, head coaches will have a parent meeting to give you more information on the upcoming season.
